If you treated yourself as a friend, what are moments you may have spoken to yourself differently? What may be an internal narrative you want to change? 1. When you’re done reading a book or finishing a podcast series, do you ever not know what to read or listen to next, so that the breadcrumbs actually go somewhere? 2. How do you have the patience and the faith to wait for the things you truly desire? How do you know if you’ll ever get those things, that life won’t be a disappointment? 3. Whose shoulder do you cry on? Who do you express your deepest doubts and fears and insecurities to? 4. Can we love others more than we love ourselves? And if you say yes, is it really love? 5. 9. When you encounter smart and good people who not only disagree with you, but oppose you, and for good reason, how much energy do you put into those debates and battles? Does victory need to be emotionally draining? How do you recharge yourself and maintain confidence in your worldview when you are being gaslit, while maintaining sufficient doubt and openness to keep learning? 10. How do you know if you’re working hard enough or burning yourself out? When it’s Sunday night and you’re anxious for the week ahead, too anxious to enjoy yourself, how do you relax? And what about when all of the hobbies you create for yourself start to feel like “work,” what do you do to not work? How do you actually rest and recharge on a vacation, so that you are truly fulfilled and reborn and ready for the next challenge? Why is it so hard for a leader to find the leader, or coach, or teacher one needs? When you think of an embarrassing memory, or something about yourself you don’t like and wish were different, how do you feel better? %%
